The customs inspection and supervision of imported automobiles mainly consists of three links. Entry verification,Port inspection and Risk Early Warning and Disposal
1.Entry verification
Before entering the country, the manufacturer or its agent shall apply to the State Accreditation and Supervision Commission and obtain 3C certification. In the entry link at the port, the customs shall verify the CCC certification materials of the vehicle.
2.Port inspection
At the port inspection link, the port customs will conduct inspections and safety performance tests on imported general vehicles, and also test certain items of imported cars based on the risk information. Imported motor vehicles that have passed the inspection shall be issued an inspection certificate for imported motor vehicles by the port customs.
3.Risk Early Warning and Disposal
The Customs shall assess and judge the risks of imported automobiles in accordance with its duties, and make a decision on risk disposal according to the conclusions of the assessment. Where risk early warning measures and rapid response measures are needed, corresponding measures shall be determined and implemented.
