As of July 23, about 77000 people had been infected and 2442 died in mainland China, most of them in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province and its surrounding areas, where the epidemic was first reported.
Two people have died and at least 70 have been infected in Hong Kong.
Macao has counted 10 cases of infection

Asia Pacific Region

South Korea: 602 people have been infected with the virus and 6 have died. The number of cases has risen sharply in recent days following an outbreak of a sectarian outbreak in the southern city of Daegu.

Japan: more than 130 people were infected and 4 died. Three of them are passengers on the diamond princess. The cruise ship was previously quarantined off the coast of Japan and currently has 630 people infected.
